My Optimus collection, in their Robot modes. On the second row are my three Megatrons (well, two Megatrons and one Galvatron). Yes, I know that they're unevenly matched, but when it comes to Optimus vs. Megatron, well, who would you choose?
Full View this pic, please!
Oh, and yes, that IS the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers Ultrazord on the far left...
TOP ROW, LEFT TO RIGHT
GENERATION 2 LEADER OPTIMUS PRIME: Basically a redeco of the G1 Optimus, with some electronics added. This one isn't in as good a condition as my others, but then again, he was my first... Here, he's standing in his trailer, which is in Repair mode. He transforms into a tractor trailer.
GENERATION 2 COMBAT HERO OPTIMUS PRIME: I found this one at a thrift store (!!!) He's missing his missiles, but I still like him. He's one of the most posable Optimus figures I have. He turns into a futuristic fire truck.
BEAST WARS TRANSMETAL OPTIMAL OPTIMUS: Ah, yes. This one took me four months to find... His claim to fame is being able to transform into four different forms: a gorilla, a jet, a tank, and (of course) his robot mode, seen here. He also has the distinction of being the first electronic Beast Wars Transformer. He's pretty posable as well...
TRANSFORMERS ARMADA SUPER BASE OPTIMUS PRIME: Seen here combined with Jetfire in the infamous "Jetfire Pants" mode. He turns into a tractor trailer. I love this guy not only because his trailer (seen behind him) transforms by itself (via an infrared signal from the cab) but because of all the Minicons you can attach to him... In this picture, I have him holding the Requiem Blaster in his right hand, Jetfire's cannon in his left (with Makeshift added to the cannon in weapon mode), Firebot (weapon mode) on his right shoulder, Gunbarrel (weapon mode) on his left shoulder, and Prowl (weapon mode) on his hip. Once my Overload arrives via the mail, I'll add him on Optimus's shoulders to form Final Battle Prime!
20TH ANNIVERSARY EDITION OPTIMUS PRIME: The crown jewel of my collection. This puppy cost me 80 dollars, but man, is he worth it. This Optimus is built exactly like the one in the classic G1 cartoon, and is constructed mostly out of (drum roll, please) DIE-CAST METAL! Of course, he's loaded with features, my favorite being the removable Matrix Annex in his chest... I recommend everyone calling themselves a TransFan to buy this guy pronto.
BEAST WARS TRANSMETAL 2 OPTIMUS MINOR: Look closely, this is the smallest Optimus in my collection, and probably one of the least known. See him standing in front of the 20th Anniv. Prime's foot? Good. Optimus Minor transforms into a monkey. He may be small, but he's amazingly posable. You can't see it well, but here he's doing the "come on" beckoning gesture, like Neo from "The Matrix".
TRANSFORMERS ENERGON OPTIMUS PRIME: All right, I admit it: I was totally convinced that this Optimus would blow meaty chunks. However, after reading a number of good reviews, I buckled down and got him last night, and I like him more and more every time I look at him. One of the draws with this one is that the four little vehicles that come with him; each one can be either an arm or a leg, on either side. Here, he's holding the Energon Saber and Signal Flare's Energon weapon. Surprisingly, this Optimus is pretty posable as well... In his Super Mode (shown here), he has fourteen points of articulation. He turns into a futuristic tractor trailer.
ROBOTS IN DISGUISE OPTIMUS PRIME: Seen here combined with RiD Ultra Magnus to form Omega Prime. This is one of my favorites. Optimus turns into a fire truck in this incarnation, the back end of which can be put together to form an artillery tower. But that's not all; the tower can attach to him to form a Super Robot mode. Even better, he can combine with Ultra Magnus to form the monster 'bot shown here. Awesome.
BEAST WARS ULTRA OPTIMUS PRIMAL: My second Optimus. He's positively bristling with weapons, including two shoulder-mounted missile launchers, a double-barrel wrist missle launcher, two swords (shown here), and a mace. He turns into a gorilla.
MACHINE WARS OPTIMUS PRIME: Probably one of the littlest-known pieces in my collection. This Optimus was released as part of the KB Toys exclusive Machine Wars line, and is actually a redeco of a classic Autobot named Thunderclash. Thus, the reason that he looks almost nothing like an Optimus. Sure, he's an ugly little brick in his robot mode (only four points of articulation), but his trailer makes up for it by becoming a huge weapons platform, with a gigantic laser cannon in the center. He turns into a military transport.
SECOND ROW, LEFT TO RIGHT
BEAST WARS TRANSMETAL 2 MEGATRON: My first Megatron... I knew I had to get this guy from the second I saw him in the Beast Wars TV show. (*sniff* I miss that show so much...) One of his coolest features is his "wing deployment". The wings go from collapsed to outstretched when you slide a lever on his back. His dragon head and neck can also be manipulated, so you can make him look from side to side, or up and down. He transforms into a dragon.
TRANSFORMERS ENERGON MEGATRON: One word: AWESOME. I got this one last night along with the Energon Optimus. His alternate mode is a jet that looks more like a flying warship than anything else... His wings pull out into an X-Wing-esque formation and automatically deploy energy cannons when they do so. This gives him a grand total of twenty four weapon barrels in vehicle mode alone, and that's without his main weapon attached. His weapon, by the way, is a tank. Yes, a tank. Loosely modeled after his Armada incarnation, the tank lights up and plays sound effects. It can attach to Megatron's arm as either a tank or a sword. His robot mode is a visual homage to the original G1 Galvatron... If you've ever seen "Transformers: The Movie", you'll know what I mean. He's seen here with Divebomb's Energon boomerang in his right hand, and a Decepticon Energon Chip on his right shoulder.
ROBOTS IN DIGUISE GALVATRON: Yeah, so it's just a repaint of the RiD Megatron, so what? His claim to fame is having ten modes of transformation, easily trumping even Optimal Optimus. Admittedly, a lot of those modes look a little silly (an elephant mode?!), but if you don't like one, just make you own mode! This one is posable enough to allow you to create your own "fan modes", giving you hundreds of possibilities. He transforms into a car, a claw, a two-headed dragon, a one-headed dragon, a griffin, a jet, an elephant, a gargoyle/bat thing, and a cruiser (whew)!

Wow, that's impressive! I wish I had that many toys ... I only have the dragon megatron. And Scourge, from that weird-ass cyberplanet series that just came out. Anyway, me shut up. Nice collection!
